MANILA, Philippines (Eagle News) — Malacañang on Monday, November 14 said it has not received report of any Filipinos hurt in the magnitude 7.8 New Zealand earthquake.
Communications Secretary Martin Andanar said the Philippine Embassy in Wellington continues to monitor the situation closely.

But the tsunami warning was downgraded after large swells hit wellington, in the North Island, and Christchurch, the south island’s largest city.
