QUEZON City, Philippines (Eagle News) – The Liberal Party claims there is no legal basis to file an impeachment case against Vice President Leni Robredo.
This was the reaction of the Liberal Party, after Speaker of the House of Representatives Pantaleon Alvarez threatened to file an impeachment case against Robredo for her act of sending a video condemning alleged extra-judicial killings in the country to a United Nations forum.
Senate Minority Leader Franklin Drilon, who also serves as the Liberal Party chair, said criticism of government was not an act of betrayal of public trust.
