MANILA, Philippines, June 9 (Eagle News) — According to the Commission on Election (COMELEC), the various advertisements of politicians and government officials cannot be considered as premature campaigning.
The commission added that premature campaigning can only lie when a person has already filed a certificate of candidacy and conducted campaign activities outside of the official campaign period.
The COMELEC recommends alternative ways of filing complaints like filing at the Ombudsman or Commission on Audit to look into the funds used by said politicians.
