QUEZON City, Philippines (Eagle News) — Malacañang is going to investigate online reports regarding the alleged ouster plot against President Rodrigo Duterte called “LeniLeaks,” according to Presidential Communications Secretary Martin Andanar.
Andanar said that National Security Adviser Hermogenes Esperon Jr., already ordered the investigation of the sources of the information.
The “LeniLeaks” is a leaked email between Filipino-American philanthropist Loida Nicolas-Lewis and her sister Imelda Nicolas, former chairperson of the Commission on Filipino Overseas on the alleged blueprints of ousting President Duterte.
It was alleged that Vice-President Leni Robredo was part of the planning of the “Ouster Duterte” movement.
However, the Vice President already denied the ouster plot against Duterte.
“Ito pong oust Duterte [plot], siguradong hindi ako kasali. Kung mayroon mang ganyang plano. Unang-una sinasabi na kasali ako doon dahil sumama ako sa mga rallies against him (the president). Iyon po hindi totoo. Misinformed si Presidente doon,” Robredo said.
