The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority will start “Oplan Baklas” on Tuesday, February 9. MMDA will remove campaign materials from areas not designated by the Commission on Elections like light posts, trees and traffic signals to ensure an eco-friendly election. The public is encouraged to report violators to the COMELEC.
Also in February 9 is the start of the campaign period for national positions while the campaign period for local positions will start on March 16.
