After deciding that it has jurisdiction over the territorial dispute between the Philippines and China, the Permanent Court of Arbitration sets the oral hearing over said case on November 24.
Said hearing will be held at the Peace Palace in the Hague, Netherlands. Philippines contend that Chinese fishing activities, and exploration of mineral resources in Scarborough Shoal are in violation of the United Nations Convention on the Laws of the Sea, wherein China is one of the signatories.
