(Eagle News) — Organizers of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church of Christ) Worldwide Walk to Fight Poverty reminded participants in the more than 300 sites across 18 time zones of some guidelines to follow during the May 6 event.
For the second Worldwide Walk, more than 300 sites across 18 time zones will simultaneously host participants, all of whom will be moved by what the Lord Jesus Christ taught, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’” (Mt. 22:37-39, New International Version).
Organizers reminded the participants to make sure that they wear their wristbands during the walk. Taking selfies, or stopping for a while to drink or eat is allowed. Participates can also use their umbrellas while participating in the walk.
Participants in the simultaneous worldwide charity walk should also stay within the designated official area for the walk. Going outside the course would disqualify the participant.
Organizers also reminded those who will reach the finish line to make sure that they drop their wristband in the designated drop boxes located there. (Eagle News Service)
