QUEZON CITY, Philippines (Eagle News) — The Office of the Solicitor General asked before the Quezon City Regional Court to order the re-arrest of the 20 National Democratic Front of the Philippines (NDFP) consultants led by top communist leaders Benito and Wilma Tiamzon.
In a manifestation and motion released by the OSG, Solicitor General Jose Calida asked the QC trial court to them send back to the prison since the peace negotations between the NDFP and the government were terminated.
“Considering that the peace negotiations in Oslo, Norway are terminated, the accused who were granted conditional release should be recommitted to the courts and their respective bonds should be automatically cancelled,” part of the motion said.
