(Eagle News)–Over 1000 people have been nabbed for violating the gun ban in place for the upcoming Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections, the Philippine National Police said.
According to the PNP, the 1922 suspects arrested was as of Oct. 27.
Over 1000–or 1454– guns were also confiscated.
A total of 2235 guns were deposited for safekeeping while 1683 were surrendered to the police.
As of Oct. 28, 151 election-related incidents were also reported, the PNP said.
The BSKE polls will be held on Oct. 30.
