Oxalic acid is described by various medical websites as very toxic and is usually used as a cleaning agent.
According to the results of the investigation conducted by the Philippine National Police (PNP) Crime Laboratory, the milk tea that caused the death of ErgoCha shop owner William Abrigo, and customer Suzaine Dagohoy in Sampaloc, Manila, on April 9, contained traces of oxalic acid which were apparently mixed with the ordered drinks.
Meanwhile, the Manila Police District filed murder charges against the son of the owner of the Milk Tea Shop, Lloyd Abrigo.
According to their helper Raymundo Santos, Lloyd was the one who had brought the liquid substance to the store the night before the poisoning incident happened.
