(Eagle News) — Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre has ordered Ozamiz Councilor Ricardo Parojinog placed on immigration lookout, days after he escaped the house where police seized illegal drugs, and high-powered firearms and ammunition in a raid that left alleged drug personalities–including his brother, Ozamiz Mayor Reynaldo Parojinog Sr.–dead.
In an urgent memorandum, Aguirre instructed immigration officers to “be on the lookout” for the councilor, who remains at large since the Sunday incident that also saw his niece, Ozamiz Vice Mayor Nova Princess Parojinog and her brother Reynaldo Parojinog Jr. arrested.
The siblings have since been charged for illegal possession of firearms and illegal drugs, among others.
“Coordinate with the National Bureau of Investigation to obtain additional information about the subject of the (immigration lookout order) in order to facilitate its endorsement,” Aguirre said.
He said the additional information included the councilor’s other known aliases, latest pictures, among others.
Aguirre also ordered the immigration officers to “obtain from the National Prosecution Service the proper office or official to contact even outside office hours, in case the subject makes an attempt to leave the country.”
He told them to “promptly relay” to relevant agencies and individuals “any pertinent information, especially those seeming to indicate that the subject individual is attempting to leave the country…”
“Take all other appropriate actions, including but not limited to, coordinating with other concerned offices and agencies, and even airlines, especially since international passengers are customarily required to check in within a specified number of hours before the flight,” he said.
