Pacquiao arrives in Las Vegas ahead of his fight with Bradley

LAS Vegas (Eagle News) — Manny Pacquiao and timothy Bradley arrived in Las Vegas on Tuesday (April 5) ahead of their third fight which will take place at the MGM Grand Garden.

Saturday’s fight will be the third meeting between the two at the same venue as their two previous encounters.

American Bradley, 32, controversially beat Pacquiao when they first met in 2012 but the Filipino gained revenge in their 2014 re-match, scoring a unanimous decision win to regain the WBO Welterweight title.

The bout, which is expected to be Pacquiao’s last, will be 37-year-old’s first since he lost a unanimous decision to unbeaten American Floyd Mayweather Jr. In the so-called “Fight of the Century” in Las Vegas last May.

In February, he lost a sponsorship deal with Nike Inc., as the world’s largest sportswear-maker canceled its contract with him after he described gays as “worse than animals”.

When asked about what fans could expect with his alleged last fight: “April 9th there’s going to be more action in the ring. It will be a good fight because I believe that (Timothy) Bradley, he has a new coach and he brings more action in the ring with his new style. I believe on Saturday the fans will be happy,” Manny Pacquiao said.

Meanwhile, Timothy Bradley said and here we quote: “This is the happiest I’ve ever trained. Honestly, I feel like I haven’t trained for this fight, honestly, that’s how fresh I feel. I did the right amount of work this time, I didn’t over train, and I’m ready to go no excuses. Saturday night should be a great night for us.”

Southpaw Pacquiao, who has a 57-6-2 record with 38 knockouts, will be taking on a two-time WBO Welterweight Champion in Bradley.
