(Eagle News)–Manny Pacquiao is looking to return to the ring next year, only a few months after his victory over American fighter Keith Thurman.
Pacquiao made the remark in an interview with Fox Sports after the match, which he won via split decision.
Pacquiao said in the meantime though, he would return to the Philippines to assume his duties as a senator.
As for Thurman, the American fighter said he “would love a rematch” with Pacquiao, whom he called “truly a legendary boxer.”
He said Pacquiao had the momentum during the match after the Filipino knocked him down in the first round.
Nonetheless, he said he knew “it was too close.”
“Tonight was a blessing and a lesson,” he said.
