(Eagle News) — Cloudy skies and rain showers are expected in parts of the country on Wednesday, Aug. 23.
The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said Cagayan Valley and Cordillera Administrative Region, in particular, will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms.
PAGASA said these were due to the trough of a low pressure area, which is located 445 km east of Aparri, Cagayan.
Flooding or landslides due to moderate with at times heavy rains are possible.
According to the weather bureau, Bicol Region, MIMAROPA, Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula and the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, meanwhile, will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the southwest monsoon affecting Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
The entire country, PAGASA said, will have light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters.
