PAGASA eyeing storm outside PAR; will name it Dodong if it enters Phl

MAY 4 (Eagle News) — PAGASA is monitoring a tropical storm (international name Noul) which is still outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) but is expected to enter the country as a tropical cyclone by Thursday.

The tropical storm will be named “Dodong” if it enters the country.

As of 10 a.m. Monday, May 4, it is estimated to be 1,520 kilometers east of Mindanao, with maximum sustained winds of 75 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 90 kph.  It is forecast to move west northwest at 9 kph.
