(Eagle News) — The “habagat” season has officially ended.
Vicente Malano of the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said that based on “recent analyses,” there was a “significant weakening of the southwest monsoon winds over the last few days.”
According to Malano, with the termination of the southwest monsoon season, the country is now officially in transition to the northeast monsoon season or the “amihan” season.
Storms are usually stronger during this season.
