PAGASA: Isolated rains expected in parts of PHL today

(Eagle News) — Isolated light rains are expected in parts of the country on Friday, March 8, as the easterlies affect southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.

In its advisory, PAGASA said partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains are expected in Batanes and the Babuyan Group of Islands.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms are also expected in the Bicol region, Eastern and Central Visayas and in Mindanao.

The rest of the country, including Metro Manila, on the other hand, will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies.

Moderate to strong winds are expected in extreme northern Luzon, where moderate to rough coastal waters are expected, PAGASA said.

Moderate to occasionally strong winds are expected in the eastern section of Southern Luzon and of Visayas and Mindanao.

The rest of the country, on the other hand, will experience light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters.
