(Eagle News) — The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration is monitoring a low pressure area off Eastern Samar.
PAGASA said the LPA is is embedded along the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) affecting Visayas and Mindanao.
It is so far situated 285 km east southeast of Borongan City.
According to the weather bureau, Zambales, Palawan, and Mindoro Provinces will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms, this time due to the southwest monsoon
Flash floods or landslides due to scattered moderate to at times heavy rains are possible.
Eastern Visayas and Caraga, on the other hand, will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms, this time due to the Intertropical Convergence Zone.
The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
PAGASA said the western section of Luzon will have moderate winds and coastal waters.
The rest of the Philippines will have light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters.
