PAGASA monitoring two LPAs within the Philippine Area of Responsibility

(Eagle News) –The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said it was monitoring two low pressure areas inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.

According to PAGASA, the first was off Basco, Batanes and the other off Calapan, Oriental Mindoro.

As such, PAGASA said light to moderate rains were expected over Bulacan, Rizal, Batangas and Laguna within the next two hours

Light to moderate with occasionally heavy rains may also persist within two hours in Manila, San Juan and Mandaluyong in Metro Manila; Dinalupihan, Morong, Hermosa, Orani, Samal in Bataan; Ternate, Maragondon, Naic, Bacoor, Imus in Cavite; Calauag, Atimonan, Padre Burgos, Plaridel, Agdangan, Unisan, Gumaca in Quezon; Zambales; Pampanga; Tarlac; and in Nueva Ecija.

In Mindanao, heavy rains with lightning and strong winds may also persist for one to two hours over portions of Zamboanga del Sur, particularly in Dumingag, Josefina, Ramon Magsaysay, Tambulig, Aurora, Dumalinao, San Pablo and Guipos; Zamboanga Sibugay, particularly in Siay, Alicia, Talusan; and in Bonifacio, Misamis Occidental.

“All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts,” PAGASA said.
