PAGASA: Rains to prevail in parts of PHL as trough of LPA affects Mindanao, tail-end of cold front affects N. Luzon

(Eagle News)–The trough of a low pressure area will be affecting Mindanao on Friday, March 15.

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said this was apart from the tail-end of a cold front that will be affecting Northern Luzon.

Davao Region and SOCCSKSARGEN will experience cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorm due to the trough, which means flash floods or landslides due to scattered light to moderate to at times heavy rains were possible.

The Cordillera Administrative Region, the rest of Cagayan Valley region and Aurora will experience cloudy skies with rainshowers and isolated thunderstorms because of the tail-end of a cold front, on the other hand.

Flash floods or landslides due to scattered light to moderate to at times heavy rains were also possible, PAGASA said.

In Batanes and the Babuyan Group of Islands, PAGASA said  cloudy skies with light rains will prevail due to the northeast monsoon.

According to PAGASA,  the rest of Mindanao, and the rest of Central Luzon will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms.

If thunderstorms are severe, PAGASA said flash floods were possible.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country on the other hand, will experience partly cloudy skies.
