(Eagle News) — Typhoon “Paolo” will continue to bring rains in parts of the country, but is expected to leave the Philippine Area of Responsibility at the latest early tomorrow morning.
The eye of “Paolo” was last seen 995 kilometers east of Basco, Batanes, packing maximum sustained winds of 160 kilometers per hour, and gustiness of up to 195 kph, as it moves north northeast at 17 kph.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Adninistration said that if “Paolo’s” speed and direction do not change, it is expected to leave PAR either tonight or early tomorrow morning.
Cloudy skies and scattered rains are expected in Cagayan, Ilocos Region, Bicol, Mimaropa, other parts of Luzon, including Metro Manila, which will also experience isolated thunderstorms.
Cloudy skies and scattered rains are also expected in the Visayas.
In Mindanao, only the Zamboanga Peninsula will be affecred by scattered rains.
The rest of Mindanao will experience isolated thunderstorms, Pagasa said.
Gale warnings have been hoisted over the northern, eastern and western seaboards of Luzon and Mindanao, and over the Visayas seaboard.
