(Eagle News)—“Wutip” may enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility next week, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.
According to Aldczar Aurelio, Pagasa weather specialist, the typhoon may enter PAR on Wednesday, Feb. 27, or Thursday, Feb. 28.
Once it enters PAR, it will be named “Betty,” he said.
So far, the typhoon was located 1815 kilometers east of Visayas, outside PAR, packing maximum sustained winds of 185 kilometers per hour near, and gustiness of up to 225 kilometers per hour.
“Wutip” is moving northwest at 15 kilometers per hour.
