The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) warned the public against extremely high temperatures during the summer of 2016 due to the El Niño phenomenon, with temperatures possibly reaching 41 degrees Celsius. It is expected that 68 provinces will experience drought.
