(Eagle News)—Typhoon “Wutip” may enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Thursday, Feb. 28, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.
According to PAGASA, once it enters PAR, “Wutip” will be named “Betty.”
So far, “Wutip” is located 1740 kilometers east of southern Luzon, still outside PAR.
It is packing maximum sustained winds of up to 185 kilometers per hour near the center, and gustiness of up to 225 kilometers per hour.
It is moving slowly in a northwest direction.
