BIR will tax surplus campaign contribution
MANILA, Philippines – The Bureau of Internal Revenue will tax the surplus campaign contributions received by politicians. According to BIR Commissioner Kim Henares, candidates receive millions of donations to their campaign funds and that they can only spend a limited portion of said amount.
