Big time price rollback in petroleum products to be implemented this week

A big time price rollback for gasoline and diesel is expected to be implemented by petroleum companies this week. The price rollbacks to be implemented in petroleum products were P1.00 per liter of gasoline and P0.60 centavos for every liter of diesel. China, ASEAN issue declaration on security cooperation

China and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) say in a joint declaration on law enforcement cooperation that dialogue mechanisms will be established with other countries and international organizations are welcome to join. The statement also invited Cambodia and Vietnam to be observer states in the mechanisms. PAGASA: Expect worst drought over different provinces

Some provinces in the country is expected to experience the severe drought conditions in years, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said in its advisory. PAGASA said the latest rainfall caused by typhoon “Lando” is not enough in the depleting water supply that has been recorded in some areas of the country. The government is continuously monitoring the haze situation in Mindanao came from the Indonesian fires caused by forest and peat clearing. According to Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Secretary Ramon Paje, they are closely monitoring the haze caused by forest fires because it may even affect and reach Metro Manila, if another storm hits the country. Almost six million voter’s ID cards remain unclaimed

The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) said that almost 6 million voter identification cards remain unclaimed all over the country. With this, COMELEC Chairman Andres Bautista encouraged the public to claim their voter’s ID that is now available at the local COMELEC offices nationwide.
