Environmental groups call for trash-free elections

With the start of filing of the certificate of candidacy (COC) yesterday, October 12, Ecowaste Coalition together with other environmental groups calls for 2016 candidates hold ‘green campaign’ for the national elections. Ecowaste Coalition demanded that the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) should implement again their Resolution No. 9615 that encourages candidates to use recyclable materials in their campaign paraphernalia and advocate trash free elections.
