Satellite captures solar eclipse from space

As those on Earth watched out for a solar eclipse on Friday (March 20), a European Space Agency mini satellite was capturing the phenomenon from space. The ESA’s Sun-watching Proba-2 mini satellite captured the footage which shows the shadow of the moon sweeping down across the brightly burning sun. Islamic State claims responsibility for Yemen mosque bombings – Twitter statement

Islamic State, an al Qaeda offshoot that has seized large areas of Iraq and Syria, has claimed responsibility for suicide bomb attacks on two mosques used mainly by Shi’ite Muslims in Yemen on Friday, a statement on Twitter showed. Deadline for validation of voter registration on October 31

The Commission on Elections reminded everyone of the deadline for the validation of voter registration is on October 31, 2015. The COMELEC also reminds everyone that those who will not be able to verify their registration will have said registration deactivated, making them unable to vote in the upcoming May 9, 2016 election.

Express bus pilot-testing will start on Monday

The pilot-testing of the express bus will start on Monday, March 23, 2015. The express bus makes fewer stops so that its passengers will reach their destinations faster. The inter-agency project was conducted by the Metro Manila Development Authority, Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board and the Department of Transportation and Communications.
