Said to be the strongest storm this year, tropical cyclone “Ompong” is placed at Category 4. Although already inside the Philippine area of responsibility, there is little chance that “Ompong” will make a landfall, according to PAGASA.

Enrile asks for TRO vs suspension

Senate minority leader Juan Ponce Enrile once again turned to the Supreme Court to seek a status quo ante order or temporary restraining order against the suspension imposed on him by the Sandiganbayan.
