5 killed in Tondo pre-dawn fire

MANILA – A pre-dawn blaze at a residential-commercial building in Delpan, Tondo, Manila, killed five persons, including two sisters who had just arrived in Manila to pursue studies here. LTO arrests more than 100 drivers of PUVs

As part of their “Oplan Balik Eskwela”, the Land Transportation Office arrested more than 100 drivers of public transport vehicles along Batasan and Commonwealth Avenues in Quezon City for various violations from having fake driver’s license, not wearing the proper driving uniform or attire, to loading more than the required number of passengers in their vehicles.

Shell, Petron hike gasoline prices, but rollback diesel and kerosene prices

MANILA — Petron and Shell increased the price of their gasoline products by 10-30 centavos per liter effective Tuesday, June 3, at 6 am. Prices, however, of their kerosene and diesel products were rolled back. The latest price adjustments reflected the movements in the international oil markets.
