(Eagle News) — Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque on Thursday, June 29, said Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III’s proposal to give minimum wage earners P200 over a three-month period should be studied.
Even then, Roque already showed he was cool to the idea, noting what he said would be the need for higher taxes for the proposal to push through.
So kailangang balansehin po,” he said.
Bello said he was hoping the President would give the go-signal for the granting of the subsidy to over 4.1 million minimum age earners.
