(Eagle News) — The federal Charter proposed by the Consultative Commission is now open to public scrutiny, the Palace said on Thursday, Aug. 23.
Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said members of the public may submit their feedback in writing to the Presidential Communications Operations Office, the Office of the President or the Office of the Presidential Spokesperson.
He said they may also give their feedback personally.
“We will consider the feedback, and if need be, incorporate some of them in the proposal to Congress. Of course, the feedback is also important to Congress,” Roque said.
The 22-member Con-Com approved its final draft of the proposed Charter in July, after four months of work.
President Rodrigo Duterte has said a federalist type of government would address the problems long-besetting Mindanao.
