Palace declares June 26 a regular holiday

QUEZON CITY, Philippines (Eagle News) — Another long weekend is coming up.

Malacanang on Friday declared June 26, Monday, as a regular holiday in the country.

Proclamation No. 235, signed by President Rodrigo Duterte, said that the declaration was made in observance of Eid’l Fitr, an important Muslim holiday.

The declaration was made upon the recommendation of the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos.
