Palawan guards against Abu Sayyaf

QUEZON City, Philippines (Eagle News) — Palawan has been placed on heightened alert, in light of the travel advisories issued by several foreign governments due to a supposed Abu Sayyaf threat.

In an exclusive interview with “Liwanagin Natin,” Governor Jose Alvarez said that uniformed personnel and volunteer groups are guarding the entry and exit points to ensure that the Abu Sayyaf Group will not be able to enter the province.

Alvarez assured the public that Palawan was safe.
