(Eagle News)—The Department of Transportation’s MRT-7 Project Traffic Management Task Force has announced the closure of selected lanes on North Ave., East Ave. and Elliptical Road in Quezon City on Thursday, March 21.
In an advisory, the task force said the EDSA-bound lanes of North Avenue from Elliptical Road up to Mindanao Avenue will be closed starting 11 p.m. until 5 a.m. on Friday, March 22.
It said on the same night, one lane along Elliptical Road and East Avenue will also be closed.
“This is to give way to MERALCO’s relocation of power lines, which are affected by the ongoing construction of the MRT-7 Project,” the task force said.
According to the task force, motorists going to EDSA should take Quezon Avenue while vehicles going to Veterans Memorial Medical Center may take Quezon Avenue, then turn right at Agham Road to North Avenue.
The task force said traffic enforcers will be deployed to these areas to assist motorists.
“The Task Force seeks the public’s understanding for the inconvenience that may be caused during the closure…,” the task force said.
