Pastor’s widow indicted for murder

The Department of Justice has announced that it had found probable cause to indict for murder Dalia Pastor, the widow of international racing driver Enzo Pastor who was killed on June 12 last year.

Aside from Dalia, businessman Domingo “Sandy” de Guzman III was also indicted for Pastor’s murder.

Police have tagged Dalia and De Guzman as suspects for the death of Enzo Pastor in August 2014, or two months after his murder.  This was after a Pasay City cop, Edgar Angel, came out to say that he was paid to kill the racing champion.

Pastor was ambushed by motorcycle-riding gunmen in Quezon City, while riding a truck. He and his assistant were supposedly on their way to Clark, Pampanga in preparation for the final leg of the 2014 Asian V8 Championship Series Season.

Pastor’s assistant, Paolo Salazar, was wounded during the ambush. In his sworn testimony, Salazar said it was Dalia who advised him and Pastor to pass through the route where they were attacked.

Police arrested De Guzman on August 26, 2014 in Muntinlupa, and was taken into custody at Camp Karingal.

Earlier on August 23, suspect and policeman Edgar Angel was arrested and admitted that he was hired by de Guzman to kill Pastor.

Police views a “love triangle” as a possible motive for the killing of Pastor.  (Eagle News Service)
