National highway in Goa also named
(Eagle News)–President Bongbong Marcos has signed four new laws renaming several circumferential and bypass roads, a bridge and a national highway.
The Presidential Communications Office said the President, through Republic Act No. 11987, in particular, renamed the Bohol Island Circumferential Road, which traverses through Barangay Poblacion III northwards of Tagbilaran City, as the President Carlos P. Garcia Circumferential Road.
The Urdaneta City Bypass Road, which goes through Barangays Nancayasan, Santo Domingo, Santa Lucia, Camantiles and Anonas in Urdaneta City, was renamed the Ambassador Eduardo Danding M. Cojuangco Jr. Ave. through RA No. 11988.
Through RA No. 11989, meanwhile, the chief executive also renamed the Tambacan Bridge to Mariano Lluch Badelles Sr. Bridge.
The bridge traverses the Iligan River in Barangay Tambacan in Iligan City, Northern Mindanao.
Through RA 11990, the President also named a national highway that stretches across Barangays San Juan Bautista, Tagongtong, Abucayan, Hiwacloy, Digidigon, Balaynan and Payatan in Goa as Speaker Arnulfo “Noli” Puentebella Highway.
The Department of Public Works and Highways was mandated to issue the necessary rules and, orders and circulars to implement the provisions of four newly signed laws within 60 days from its effectivity.
