(Eagle News)–The Philippine Coast Guard is investigating another alleged security breach involving one of its social media accounts.
The PCG said the Coast Guard Public Affairs is coordinating with the Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC) of the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) to “conduct backend operations and make an assessment.”
This was after the CGPAS monitored the posting of what it said were two malicious videos on the PCG official Facebook account.
PCG spokesperson Armand Balilo said the unknown individual believed responsible for the posting gained access to the PCG account page at 12:30 p.m. of Friday.
As of press time, the PCG’s Facebook page continues to show movie videos.
On Feb. 26, the PCG lost control of its Facebook account, but gained control of it three days later.
Days before, the PCG’s X account was also hacked but the agency gained access to it on the same day.
