(Eagle News)–The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency on Tuesday, March 12, said it was investigating two celebrities whose names were seen in the phone of a big-time party drugs dealer who was killed in a buy-bust operation on Monday night.
PDEA refused to identify the celebrities whose names figured in the phone of Steven Pasion, saying a case build-up was still ongoing.
The authorities said they were also looking at the possibility the names were mere aliases of Pasion’s customers, but added the same celebrities were already being monitored for alleged drug links prior to the buy-bust operation in Manila.
“Dalawa sila, high profile, saka palaging nag-aappear sa TV. Babae saka lalake,” PDEA Special Enforcement Services Acting Director Levi Ortiz said.
According to Ortiz, one of the celebrities asked Pasion for 200 ecstasy tablets.
It was still unclear, however, he said, if the order was for the celebrity’s own consumption or for distribution.
“Subject to further investigation,” he said.
During the buy-bust operation near Pasion’s condominium unit in Sta.Cruz, his live-in partner Irene Mercado was also arrested.
Over P6 million worth of shabu and liquid ecstasy were also seized from Pasion’s unit.
