MAKATI City, Philippines, June 30 (Eagle News) — In an oath-taking ceremony conducted at the old city hall, Makati City Vice-Mayor Romulo “Kid” Peña Jr., was sworn in as the Mayor of Makati under the direction of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) after the Office of the Ombudsman issued a new suspension order against Mayor Jejomar Erwin “Junjun” Binay Jr.
The suspension order was issued due to the controversy surrounding the construction of the Makati Science High School building.
