The University of the Philippines Junior Finance Association is holding a financial summit on April 8 with the aim of spreading financial literacy to the youth.
The summit–which is the flagship event of UP JFA’s Investment Month 2017–will be held in SM Aura.
Themed “Nation-Building through Finance,” it aims to target around 1000 people all over the country, specifically the young who include college students, and junior and senior high school students.
Delegates can expect talks and seminars by top professionals, industry leaders, government officials and other notable personalities.
There will also be sessions on more specialized topics.
“This year, we take it to the next level, aiming for a wider impact as we bring financial education to Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao in the pursuit of building the nation through finance,” a UP JFA statement said.
“With this, we hope to start the wave of a more financially literate generation,” it added.
