Philippines under cloudy skies as PAGASA monitors three weather systems

QUEZON CITY, Philippines (Eagle News) — The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), the country’s weather bureau, said that it is now monitoring three simultaneous weather systems, which will cause cloudy skies all over the country.

PAGASA said that a tail-end of the cold front is affecting the eastern section of northern and central Luzon.  It also noted an Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) affect the eastern section of Visayas and Mindanao.  The areas affected by the tail-end of a cold-front and the ITCZ are MIndanao and the Regions of Cagayan Valley, Bicol, Eastern and Central Visayas and the provinces of Aurora and Quezon. These areas will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms

Metro Manila and the rest of northern and central Luzon will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers as these areas are affected by the northeast monsoon.

The rest of the country will have localized thunderstorms, PAGASA’s latest update said.
