(Eagle News) — Another Filipina beauty has conquered an international beauty pageant.
After Catriona Gray won as Miss Universe 2018 last month, Francesca Taruc who hails from Angeles, Pampanga, was crowned Miss Tourism World Intercontinental in Nanjing, China on Tuesday, January 8.
Taruc also received a special award for “Best Body” during the preliminary rounds. Her win was shared by Taruc in her instagram post on January 5.
Taruc said: “Last night, I was awarded ‘Best Body’ at the Preliminary round and I still can’t believe it… We can do this! Let’s fight, Philippines!”
Representatives from Tatarstan and Ukraine won the first and second runner-up, respectively.
Aside from the said pageant, she also represented the Philippines in Miss Freedom of the World 2018 in Kosovo in Southern Europe in July last year.
Taruc graduated with a degree in Mass Communication at the Holy Angel University in Pampanga.
The 20-year old beauty queen will return to the country on Thursday, January 10.
