(Eagle News)–The Philippines and Israel on Monday, Sept. 3, inked several agreements during President Rodrigo Dutertes official visit.
Foreign Affairs Secretary Alan Peter Cayetano, representing the Philippine government, signed the memorandum of understanding on scientific cooperation.
Trade Secretary Ramon Lopez, for his part, signed the memorandum of intent on the collaboration of bilateral direct investment, while Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III signed a memorandum of agreement which, the Palace said, aims to reduce placement fees for caregivers who want to work in Israel.
Duterte and his counterpart, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, witnessed the signing of the three agreements.
The President is on a four-day state visit to Israel, the first for a Philippine leader.
From Israel, he will proceed to Jordan upom the invitation of King Abdullah II.
