QUEZON City, Philippines (Eagle News) — The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) announced that the joint Balikatan exercises between it and the United States military will push through in April 2017.
The Balikatan exercises are part of the commitment of both the Philippine and US governments to enhance the capabilities of their respective armed forces to respond to a variety of emergency situations.
Balikatan (literally meaning shoulder to shoulder) is an annual military exercise between the Philippines and the US.
