Travelers flying in and out of the Clark International Airport will now have easy access to information about the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), as well as the programs and projects of the national government and local government units.
This, as the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) launched on Tuesday (March 28) its ASEAN information kiosk inside the airport with an aim of heightening awareness among the people in Central and northern Luzon about the relevance of ASEAN being one regional community.
PIA Deputy Director General Gregorio Angelo Villar, in his speech, cited the importance of creating awareness on the significance of ASEAN for people to attain a deeper understanding of the regional integration, its benefits and impacts.
Villar thanked the Clark International Airport Corporation (CIAC) for allotting some space for the ASEAN information kiosk. He said this will help generate the interest of the local and international travelers.
