(Eagle News)– There is no rift in our party.
Senate President Aquilino Pimentel III had this to say when asked whether there were factions in the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan after an ensuing word war between him and party mate Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez.
“We will all enjoy the birthday party of Speaker in Davao/ Tagum. We are good friends,” Pimentel said in a statement.
Alvarez’s birthday is on January 10.
He said he and Alvarez were “just teasing one another.”
Alvarez has criticized the Senate for “being slow” in passing laws.
But Pimentel noted that what was important was quality and not quantity.
