(Eagle News)—-A suspected member of the Abu Sayyaf believed behind the 2002 Kidapawan bombing that killed at least seven has been arrested.
Philippine National Police Chief Oscar Albayalde said Abdurahman Mataud Daiyung was nabbed by members of the National Capital Region Police Office and the military in Ermita, Manila.
Albayalde said Abdurahman had a warrant for his arrest issued by a Basilan court for his alleged role in the kidnapping of employees of the Golden Harvest Plantation in Lantawan.
Albayalde said Abdurahman was a member of the group of Isnilon Hapilon, who he said was the terrorist leader recognized by the Islamic State.
