Over 300 policemen have been sacked since Philippine National Police Chief Ronald dela Rosa assumed office.
According to Dela Rosa, of the 352, 167 were sacked because of drugs, 72 were absent without leave, and 59 committed other grave offenses including murder, kidnapping, rape, extortion and human rights violations, among others.
Those sacked ranged from Po1 to police superintendents.
He said so far, 329 could be sacked.
This was apart from the 60 policemen on the National Police Commission’s list President Rodrigo Duterte has ordered to be sacked.
“Lahat ng gumagawa ng kalokohan mananagot so siguro g*g* na lang talaga sila kung gagwa pa sila ng kalokohan. Alam nila madidismiss sila and ngayon nataaasan sweldo namin, sayang kung magpadismiss sila,” Dela Rosa said.
