Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief, Director General Ronald Dela Rosa on Tuesday (December 27) said that the PNP targets to achieve “zero casualty” in relation to illegal discharge of firearm and indiscriminate firing in welcoming the New Year.
In a press conference, Dela Rosa said that he has already instructed all policemen nationwide to conduct patrols in the streets and to their area of responsibilities and to strictly implement their campaign against indiscriminate firing from 5 PM of December 31, 2016 to 5 AM of January 1, 2017.
Dela Rosa also advice the local executives, especially the barangay officials to join the PNP in patrolling the communities.
